Fred M. Locke had a substantial interest in the insulator and electrical business where he patented quite a few insulator styles, the initial getting the triple petticoat insulator patented on May possibly 7, 1889 along with John Lapp. By 1892 Fred began promoting electrical and telegraph supplies, most of which had been made to his specifications, with the Brookfield Glass Business and also the Hemingray Glass Firm creating the glass insulators. Hemingray would only be involved on a few of his insulator designs from c1893 to around 1895, though Brookfield would make numerous CD styles of his glass insulators into the 1910’s.
